But that's not the point. *Who Is Flip-Flopping Harder?* Is it Kamala Harris, who used to be against fracking but is now in favor of it? There are two schools of thought here: a) The judge: It all depends on who you think is more credible. b) The cynical nihilist: Every politician lies. Why should we give a Brandon about who's more credible? I guarantee you that there are more Trump supporters who believe in (b) over (a). There is no other way that they can justify Trump's pathological lying than via "whataboutisms." Meanwhile, I think most of Harris' support comes from a sense of optimism over cynicism. True, it might be foolish, but then again, a cynic almost always accuses the optimist of being a fool. Either way, I'm more inclined to believe the flip-flopper whose supporters are more inclined to hold their candidate accountable over the flip-flopper whose supporters are just as dishonest with themselves as their candidate is.
