I have heard of this VELCRO interface. I think duct tape would work better.

Duct tape would conduct better, it sticks better and can be adapted for more uses. Duct tape can cover your chips, you can't read the part number that way. Repairs are cheap. If you need to add functions later, just duct tape in another chip. For laptops, or other space sensitive uses, you can tear duct tape into 1/2s and 1/4s. I have heard that fast time to the market products are what OEMs look for, why not use duct tape?

You could say your chip, "Taped Out" from the getgo.

And the number one reason for using duct tape in MPEG solutions; 3M has excess capacity.
