Victoria - Re: "Do you think one smart move in tech in 1997 is CYRX sold to NSM"

It was smart for Cyrix shareholders - assuming they were bright enough to unload their stock after the price run up after the buy-out announcement. (Count me in that group!)

As for NSM, I think they bought damaged goods. Their products (Cyrix) were "almost" good, but not quite good. Their profitability record stunk.

NSM/Halla had a dream, a vision to catapult NSM into prominence with the "system on a chip" idea he "borrowed" and brought with him from LSI logic. He figured that his Intel/LSI background, with Cyrix's x86 and integrated MediaGX chip set, were enough to launch his dream.

Well, sometimes when you dream, you end up having nightmares.

Halla's nightmare has begun.
