The Laffer Curve exists because it exemplifies an how unimaginative government is.

It just means the very wealthy move their money elsewhere and employ imaginative people to provide the bs to enable them to do so.

Example: Elon Musk does not draw a salary, he takes out a loan.

A high tax rate is a great way to take money away from the lower 80% of wage earners and give it to an almost useless "out of control" bureaucracy of government department mini empire builders.

I hear the prison biz in the USA is doing great.

A great way to destroy a nation in the longer term.

They are real experts at it here. 20% VAT on everything, on top of all the other taxes.

Especially true with the "Carbon Taxes". The most stoopid thing ever invented, and doubly so as they don't pay that tax in China, where everything is manufactured, and they now have a technological lead in almost everything.

It is, in fact, criminal. No doubt about it.

Some weather for you.

Wharfie,
The Laugher Curve is BS.
Like I told Qone0, no one paid Eisenhower's top 91% tax rate.

That's what the Laffer curve is supposed to illustrate. Deny it at your risk.
