Okay, so a bit lower than I anticipated. Try that then? 70% SPY and 30% SWVXX. Should be a fine portfolio for retirement income and conservation of principal, but still a solid growth component. That yield should be spendable, with the growth sufficient to pace inflation.

Will note that despite the lower beta, it isn't a conventionally defensive portfolio. I wouldn't try to bring the beta any lower, for sure, but it might make sense to pull back a little on both the growth and the fixed income, and build up the defensive/value segments. The current portfolio design would have performed very well over the last five years, but the next five could be different.
