No, Anchorage with surrounding area is 500k population. Lot of intelligence having the Pipeline years bringing in billions of dollars, though with it came the Mob until late 80's. Average age is 26 with most out going. Summers are 20-24 hours of daylight. The Town is filled with artwork, entertainment, sites. Has the only ski resort in the world overlooking the ocean, with tram to top and 7 course dinner. Fishing hunting, hiking, skiing, snow machining, bike trails throughout and along the Cook Inlet... amazing place.
