Hi, Rex. I am confused about something you said. I was not told to delete any pages when going from pre-release version of GET to the release version, and I had no problem with my pages made in the pre-release version. My problem is exactly the same as Bruce's which is I cannot save spreads and cannot even close the program with a spread displayed- I get a big fat GPF every time. How can Bruce and I have the same problem and no one else have it, except for one other person, who I believe is Gary Best??

I can assure you TTI is diligently working this problem and I expect a solution soon- they want this software to be as elegantly pure as the DOS version just like all of us users out here.

Al

Hi Rex-

Sorry for the late response. I'm further behind than I thought!

What I am using is a modification to the GET Win 7.0 Final Release created to solve the GPF several GET Win users were seeing. However, Al Stephens tells me he wasn't told to delete the previous pages.dat and has had no problem as a consequence. So it may have been an unnecessary precaution in my case.

The "spring cleaning" via a template is exactly what I did. I had stuff in there I hadn't looked at in months. I'll bet I didn't have 1/5 the quantity you maintain, though! :-)

The issue with groups/sectors with AIQ data is that GET Win apparently doesn't attempt to read the data. I have it listed as a data line of AIQ type, but I see no symbols and get no error. TTI acknowledges that they don't support AIQ group/sector data, though they do support market data and of course stock data. AIQ makes all their data format info available to anyone that wants it, so that's not an issue (though I hear it isn't easy to understand). I want to continue to use AIQ data because of additional support for groups/sectors in AIQ Trading Expert, so I'm not anxious to look at a substitute just yet.
