Rarebird, Parents were interested in their children receiving an education instead of hearing the paranoia and horse shit from Teacher Unions and the radical Left. I already gave you the reasons why schools remained closed during the pandemic. None of them have anything to do with teachers unions or the radical left. The "red states" couldn't handle lockdowns as well as the "blue states" because of the nature of their respective economies. Hence it doesn't surprise me to see "red state" people equate the lockdowns with left-wing authoritarianism. It's wrong, but I can understand it from a certain perspective. Plus they aren't 100% wrong when they accuse the left of politicizing the issue. Either way, though, the original tweet was a classic non sequitur. Besides, the pandemic is over. Only one side wants to keep it alive for political reasons. Tenchusatsu

The entire world battled the pandemic the same way starting with China. The first Covid-19 variant was the most deadly and nothing was available to combat it. Right now Covid-19 virus mutated into something that still affects you harder than a flu but most likely won’t kill you, and vaccines are available just like for an ordinary flu. Schools remained open, they just went to online mode. Children were less affected but the teachers were, and they brought it home to infect parents. What you had was nothing like Covid-19 in March 2020. The pandemic is over because the virus mutated into something a lot less dangerous and because treatments are now available.
