Ibexx / all, RE: Kurlak

The following link has been posted before, just want to make some comments:

pathfinder.com

1) Given that Kurlak is said to pick "opportunistic" times to try and move a stock, tomorrow may be just the right time for him to get on the horn; option expiration, US/Iraq conflict over the weekend, Intel's strong move causing some profit taking etc. I hope not, but it would not surprise me.

2) According to the chart, on 5/31/96 when Intel is at 37.75 (split adjusted) "Kurlak is late in upgrading Intel, stock already up 34% from its bottom". Then on 8/22/97 when Intel is at 96.19 "Kurlak downgrades". If you followed his advice and take into account capital gains, then your break even point is roughly 80. Unless Kurlak can get Intel below 80 so that he can issue a BUY, followers of his advice would have been better off to have ignored him. Even if you parked your gains in a strong interest bearing account, you would have come up short. At this point in time his advice seems pathetic.

JMHO.
