>believing the many hoaxes about Trump.<

So, the multitude of crimes that Trump has committed and been convicted of are all hoaxes.

He didn't do the things we clearly saw him do and which there is piles of evidence.

Trump's reason for running is to stay out of prison... he's an insane career criminal

Perhaps it's YOU who has an affliction of TDS... or perhaps you just admire criminals and RAPISTS and other forms of insanity

"From the jump"? Really? I find I take time to form an opinion. Vance for example. I hadn't heard of him but gradually I'm getting an opinion. Same for Ramaswamy. I had a negative impression of Trump four decades ago but that was more his lifestyle was far from my aspirations. But I don't object to politicians choosing lifestyles very different from mine.
I knew not much about Vance before his nomination. My wife & I watched the movie, which was pretty good, after we started hearing talk about him, and found out it was created from a bestseller he had written. So, he had a little credibility from the outset.

But Vance and Ramaswamy are both exceptional speakers attached to exceptional minds. I could see either of them making a president four years from now.

I do believe Trump made a good choice in Vance, in that his style of speaking is less technical and more communicative with average Americans. In a tied race that can make a difference.

That's amusing. I posted here just in the last few days about my unusual reluctance to establish opinions, about requiring a lot of thought and definitive evidence. I'm serious about the "well-considered" qualifier often paired with "opinion." Yesterday I got some push back on my caution. Today I find the opposite.

Getting an early sense of someone is not forming an opinion. There is a basic and critical human instinct to sense oddity and potential risk in novel encounters. The output of that reaction is not opinion but wariness and watchfulness.

There is no question that Trump was and is sui generis. As he seemed to me early on and as he turned out, not in a good way.
