the article totally overlooks the criminal nature of illegal immigration Not sure what you mean by that. Are you talking about the act of entering the US outside the rules or engaging in criminality while resident? If the latter, it has been shown that undocumented immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than Americans. If the former, the article addresses immigration broadly, not the illegal variety. It didn't overlook anything but rather it was just about a different subject. Seems to me that virtually everyone disapproves of illegal immigration. A lot of people also have an issue with immigration and immigrants, period. Each is an issue; the article deals with the latter. We need comprehensive immigration reform (that's me taking a position).
