Wharfie, How much electricity were they generating? They have a capacity of 3,500 MW: nwcouncil.org In comparison, the total amount of solar and wind generation capacity in Washington state is just over 4,000 MW. en.wikipedia.org en.wikipedia.org Imagine that. You'd have to more than double the amount of solar and wind generation (because solar and wind isn't as consistent as hydro) to make up for breaching the Snake River dams. All because you want to save some fish. Meanwhile China is willing to destroy history, homes, and culture in order to generate many gigawatts of clean electricity. Go figure. Tenchusatsu
