Actually Doren I take back what I said: Instead, the Democrats are realizing that policy differences matter less than the preservation of democracy. I'm seeing a lot of indications that the Democrats still care more about their left-wing policies than about anything else. This is because the Democrats STILL hate Dick Cheney with a burning passion. Never mind how the one war Democrats were united on, namely the Afghanistan war, turned out to be a loss. Meanwhile the one war Democrats wanted to crucify Cheney over, namely the Iraq war, has turned into a relative (and somewhat unexpected) success. Never mind how the Democrats became the party of war while the Republicans under Trump have become the party of peaceniks. To them, the fact that the Cheneys are against Trump is like "evil calling out evil." It's incredible to me how the Democrats STILL don't get it. There's a reason why long-time Republicans, who used to be for the Cheneys before they were against them, feel the need to vote for Trump. *It's because no matter what they do, the Democrats will always and forever hate their guts.* Tenchusatsu
