If you guys don't stop snooping around your going to take the wind out of Frank's sails at the SHM. He'll have nothing left to "wow" you with during his presentation of "upcoming events".

He just might have to break out those shadow puppets afterall! <ggg>

Thanks Chetan for the interesting article on Level 3 Communications.

The points I found interesting are that they are building their own fiber network and not relying on someone else's backbone like FNET, their recognition of the need for a large sales force, and the very large amount of capital they have.

However, three years can be a long time in the world of technology. There will be many alternatives and capturing of market share by other companies by then. There was also no mention of the type of gateway they would use to integrate voice and data.

Thanks Chetan for the research. IMO they are still drawing board technology. I could be wrong however. It seems that they are trying to rival companies like UUNET and the like. They still need the gateways as Judith points out. Remember the wise words of our pedagogue RB who said "supply the ammunition"

With QWST also located in CO, it is quickly becoming a hot bed for comm. companies. I still prefer WLV.<GGGG> No offense, Skibare!
