Anyone heard any rumors or news of ASND attempting to aquire XYLN? XYLN moving up on very heavy trading, Jeff Viniki purchased over 6% of XYLN recently, thanks in advance.......rick

None whatsoever. It's a roll-out glitch specific to CIEN/WCOM and won't impact anyone else, not even in their sector.

My guess is that the telcos and service providers of all stripes are on the verge of enormous growth and there's no way in hell someone like ASND won't succeed.

Once the IMF proposals are passed through congress and once Japan announces its plans for the coming year (after FY ending in March), there won't be much stopping the whole sector from taking off.

TXN will announce its C6X ADSL chip some time in March (last I heard) and this will signal the beginning of real ADSL roll-out. We're hearing smaller announcements every week but nothing compared to what's ahead.
