If the election was sToLeN, then the insurrectionists have a moral responsibility to "stop the steal," because they would be fighting on behalf of the majority. Or at least fighting on behalf of democracy.

The contradiction is you telling yourself that the election was indeed sToLeN, but that the protesters held back because, you know, to resort to violence would be "crossing the line."

The fact that many of them did indeed cross the line, all with the goal of trying to overturn the results, turned the protest into an insurrection.
But there was NOT an insurrection. Nobody tried to take over the government.
