A guy I worked with was a captain in the SVA attached to some General, on his day off this General was assassinated, he also told me he befriended an old man near his home, when the VC came looking for him the old man told them to leave him alone, seems he was a leader of some sort. he left Vietnam soon after, becoming one of those boat people
