The meaning of grab and let and the reality described is trivial. I think grab had a less sudden and unexpected meaning than you gave it in Trump's meaning. CIA, Obama, Nuland Biden and co grabbed Ukraine. But Russia didn't want to be grabbed by the Crimea. Not did they agree to easterners being grabbed by the Donbas. They hit back. Some males are violently aggressive when they do their grabbing and whack their intended victim if she resists. Some women carry a pistol in their bag and have killed their assailants. Good for them. Russia is carrying atomic bombs to resist the assault. This is poetry. Tom

Surely you could understand the meaning of his words and the reality of the very common situation. You made this about dissecting words and I called you on it. I do parsing for breakfast. You surely know women commonly invite such attention from desirable males Indeed. But that is beside the point, your point, which I rebutted.. Decades ago I thought Trump showed his attitude when I think he said he could go in the miss universe changing rooms coz he owned it. Trump was and is a pig. My main issue is no nuclear war... Further change of subject. I was itchy about the nuke thing early on but I'm reasonably comfortable now that no one has a taste for that. Russia should have been brought into Europe as Putin wanted... Russia can't be part of Europe unless and until it adopts western norms. Hard enough to keep a coalition working even when everyone has common values. Temporary tactic vs long term robustness.
