Hi Richardred,

It was always a wonder to me also.

Once retired, I gravitated to watching my account much more due to preference.

Past performance is no guarantee.

But having more time to chase one's passion is often a great move.

It has turned out that way for myself as well.

Now the task at hand is to be conservative and not lose it.

I'm now spending time finishing up my accumulation of parts to complete my 57 Fuel Injected Corvette I bought over 35 years ago. It was a project and in many boxes. I was told it was originally a Fuelie with manual trans. After learning much about what unique pieces a Fuelie had vs a carburated Corvette, I can confirm it really was a FI Vette.

Just yesterday I took delivery of a very rare 4 spd. Borg Warner manual trans. They were first introduced in the latter part of the model year. Only 660 of them were made. I now have two feul injected four speed 1957 Corvettes. One is a very original driver and one is a frame off complete restoration in progress. Some guys have rocks for hobbies, I have rocks in my head for Hot Rods. <smile>

I have watched you and E_K_S go back and forth on your favorite stocks. It has been a great learning experience for me.

So proud both of you picked and accumulated a winner in a tough market (been high for a long time).

Pinch those new found pennies and don't be in a great hurry to do it again.

I've always found investing to require patience and not hurry about repeat home runs.

The accumulation of a stock that ends up being a homerun takes time to be held by the strong hands. JMHO
