One should be careful that one's internal large language model doesn't replace reality. That's a very common blunder. Telling yourself the word "appeasement" could lead you to a calamity. People generally think in large language models I have observed over decades though it's only recently the term LLM has entered my vocabulary. Personal LLMs are used by many people to think about everything. They lack physics, maths, economics, anthropological, chemistry, etc first principles understanding so they use sociologically imposed word averages to do their thinking for them. Slogans. Such as "Don't let a slogan do your thinking for you". We all do that to some extent, but the more we can think from first principles the better. We simply don't have time to figure out every little thing from the foundations up. By using the word appeasement you'll trick yourself into being dead. Of course appeasement can be worse than dealing with a problem attacker directly and at great risk. So I think Russia is right to refuse to appease the crazed violent megalomaniac Yanks in their onslaught. I would have long ago gone nuclear and stopped the war before it ramped up and going on a million people were killed. I'd have told the crazed Yanks " We're all going to be dead if you pursue your attack. Here are the terms. Please feel free to discuss whether that's a reasonable resolution." I'll leave you to think about the meanings of let and grab in Trump's usage. But I think you have a bung large language model for all three words. I think your premises are false regarding Trump and who attacked whom in Ukraine. You'll choose the wrong president and choose being killed in nuclear war.
