only surpassed by things like intentionally and even taking delight in abusing people and animals.

I made one trip to China. The saddest thing I saw was containers of live animals being sold for consumption. There were not only cats but fancy cats like Persians. The second saddest was at the zoos. My trip had a zoo theme and I visited many including the Wolong Panda Preserve, which was devastated in the Sichuan earthquake. The zoos, not the Preserve, had animals in small cages with no barriers. A fun family outing there was taking a long stick and poking at tigers through the bars and yucking it up.
