Dewy,
Re -- the stock has a tremendous upside potential.

Where have I heard that. Seem to remember that was a phrase used on AMD for the past 10 years.... But of course dewy this time its different.

The only reason that the stock is trading so high, is because of people like you who keep hoping and praying and hoping (thinking that a CPU can be manufactured in volume at the click of a hand), not having a clue as to the intrinsic value of AMD (which is about $8).

Jefferson, re:Should AMD solve the yield problems the stock has a tremendous upside potential.

Have you seen Intel's upcoming price cuts for April and then June???
Then have you thought about how AMD will have to price their K6s as a result???
This company will have losses for the 1st 2 quarters of 1998 at a minimum, even if yields improve. It doesn't take brilliance to figure this out.

AMDites, if AMD can't get out a 266K6 before 266-Covington (L2 cachless PII), then this will just hasten their demise since this will ACCELERATE the market's move away from Socket 7, even on the low-end. Covington will be released in April, and it looks like all major OEMs will carry it. The clock is ticking....but i'm sure that clown Sanders will have words of encouragement for all shareholders next month at the shareholders meeting.
