BP rises, traders cite Gulf tensions

LONDON, Feb 20 (Reuters) - Shares in oil group British Petroleum Co Plc (quote from Yahoo! UK & Ireland: BP.L) rose 2.6
percent on Friday, amid rising concern over tensions in Iraq over United Nations weapons inspections, traders said.

BP shares had gained 21p to 827p on volume of 2,556,654 by 1145 GMT.

''People are saying the oil prices have probably bottomed out and we've got a bit more tension in the Gulf,'' one trader said.
