Bill,

I have 2 comments, but I have not gone through the filing with a fine-tooth comb yet. I'll probably wait for the hard copy in my mailbox, since I am going to exercise, and it's been my experience that there's no rush to get into the offerings in the first couple of days (usually the 3rd-4th week is best).

1) The document production/automation industry will probably continue to grow rapidly, and not just because companies want to reduce costs, but because they will be able to do so and their customers will demand the customization. I envision on-line insurance agencies and others allowing complete a-la-carte picking and choosing from many options (coerages, deductibles) and specifying their exact needs. On the back-end, legal documents (policies) will need to be produced. All this can be done without human intervention (just lawyers and programmers, neither of which are really human anyway, right? ;-)). DocuCorp's customers include Prudential, CNA, and AIG. I don't really know how their competitors perform, but I do know Document Sciences has not performed well for its shareholders, but it's owned mostly (65% ?) by Xerox.

2) I find it hard to gauge the "exitability" for each offering. I'm personally excited to get them all, but I was neutral on Sanchez, not so excited by Diamond, really excited about ChromaVision (my job is in that area), neutral on OAOT.... So, there's really no correlation. I think exercise and wait is the recipe for success.

Sorry for rambling so long.

--John

DOCC
Anything to change your mind recently about DOCC? I didn't see the SI, but think the concept is huge. Automation of office documents is a huge undertaking and would seem to be a large market.
