Is Ancor going to be kind to the little guys and take back their inventory? Ouch! We were nice and did that with Sequent and it nearly sank the ship.

Speaking as a little guy, if I put in inventory for a new supplier who wants me to promote his product into my geographical or vertical market, I want assurances up front that if the product doesn't move, I can at least cover all or most of my cost of stocking their product. I am still out the expenses associated with trying to sell the product -- time, travel, trade show booths, etc., and the gross profit that I expected to make.

There isn't a Research Triangle Park in every state, and this might have been sold direct rather than through a reseller. It appears that Ancor is pulling out of the movie/video post production area. Any reseller who put in inventory to help ANCR pursue this market should not be stuck with that gear.

There have been quite a few complaints in the past with the quantity and effectiveness of the GigWorks ads.Without support from Ancor marketing, it would be very difficult to move that inventory. Today, Ancor needs resellers more than resellers need Ancor.
