MrB, I just bought a Connectix QuickClip. This will allow me to hook up my Hi8 Sony video camera and capture and transmit video, and do live videoconferencing. Do you have such a set-up where you are? BTW, the QuickClip is only $99 and uses either a parallel port or a USB port. - Jeff

Humbly report, Bill, what the film cameras cannot have - and what makes the hockey coverage so incredible - are their zoom lenses. From here to infinity. Cannot have that - physics - if your film plane is as big as 35mm. Ergo, when digital cameras can do what 35mm can, yet will use a smaller image collection spot than 35mm is - bingo - incredible zooms for stills, and I'll be shopping. Till then, I remain, humbly dreaming of the impossible, by the mail slot of the FBN mail room, virtually near the first arch of the Mala Strana side of Charles Bridge, where they serve great hot rum, gratis for me, yours truly, someday digital, Svejk (GL-15 applies: digiserve.com ;-)
