Rose, it's interesting to see how loony leftoid brains work. See if they can do reasoning. Learn new things. Save themselves from dying. They are like the shooters trying to murder Trump. The latest guy is an excellent example. His exaggeration is slight. He's a pretty good ranter of the LLL catechism. It's strange watching them. They're like a heavens gate death cult. A Jim Jones cool aid clan. Some are linguistically articulate but their reasoning is not grounded in reality. Their large language models that they think of as thinking seem like coherent ideas to them. See the latest shooter's articulate rants. He says the words in grammatically correct form. That makes them think they have it right. Look at lane 3, and many others. They use the word appeasement. Having used that they know they have to go full scale MAD. Because having used the word they get locked into it. It doesn't occur to them, even when it's explained, that THEY are the attackers and appeasing THEM would lead to worse outcome. You have your silly little gang. But you're just made of meat and will die like anyone else in nuclear Armageddon. When you're withing in your death throes, contemptuous words and self congratulations will count for nothing. Maybe some computer memory will linger and future archeologists will piece together why it happened. Apparently it was the closest ever call on the weekend. Saved by some sense in the Pentagon. That is very logical, and one would think that, but how do we then explain the fact Trump is still running neck and neck with Harris?

Maybe we are projecting the fact we can see it clearly, and not able to envisage people who cannot?

I do think pointing out how stupid they are being though is the correct one. They need to know that.

People do not mind being MAGA, but no one wants to be seen as stupid. Although given Trumps behavior, one would think they would be embarrassed to support him!?

The Republican party has ceased to have any hope for decency at all. It really has been a drag on our civilization for 100 years as I have mentioned many times, but Trump took it to a new low.

I have felt for a long time, it would be relegated to a far right fringe party like the ones in Europe, and replaced by a different type of party.

But one thing to consider, IMO, is that the Democratic party since FDR has followed the science of a humane modern social system that follows what is taught in every university in the country, more or less e.g. social humanity, universal health care and robust social safety net.

So I can't imagine what the ideology of a new and different party would look like?

For a blue print of a modern humane society, Finland may be the top country in the world e.g. it is one of the happiest, humane and intellectually sophisticated countries e.g. it seems to be a leader in solving its homeless problem.
