I am not suggesting LSI made the drive, only that DVD drives are now on the shelves in HP systems. From your response may I infer that it is possible there is at least one component in the unit made by LSI or would HP make or outsource the components to other suppliers?

In any event Costco using this device to play movies acquaints the public with DVD in some limited sense. The people watching (not typical computer types) the movie seemed impressed with the image quality... I was thinking how many unit sales to non computer users would be required to translate into noticable appreciation in the stock price.
