Alaskan, I like you continue to be fascinated by the posters who apparently find the need to humor themselves by belittling common rational thought...so caught up in themselves that they fool nobody but themselves...what a waste...I chastise my kids for less than what these jokers do. My encouragement to all who choose to read this is to spend more time and brain energy trying to separate the facts from the fantasy and let's all get a strong feeling for what we have or don't have here. Although I became more skeptical after reading the USA today article, I quickly reminded myself that the media frequently errs on the skeptical side of thing-bad news sells newpapers-everyone knows that. I'm just grateful to all the doom and gloomsters that have created such a nice opportunity for many of us to buy BAT shares at a substantial discount-makes the upside substantially greater and the downside minimal. Purely looking at the evidence rationally, the facts are strong and undeniable, the fantasy a triviality. A contract or two means a big payday for all. The urgency of the moment would suggest that Joe will be aggressive in his pursuit for an agreement to substantiate his position. May God grant Joe the wisdom to make the correct choices... Everyone isn't given the opportunity to change the world as we know it-color me overly optimistic or blatantly stupid, but I'm long on opportunity and patient for the big payday. Go BAAT

Alaskan, what's your take on the press release from BAT on July 24, 1995 regarding the deal with China Motor, In your opinion, are the events of the recent past an instant replay as some suggest? Know for a fact that I'm long on BAT, but this item tends to make me concerned-respond confidentially if you prefer. Thanks

Bravo!!!! The Alaskan takes high marks for "calling a pile a pile". I guess I assume too much (i.e., anyone who "knows" what the market will do is an idiot) in my prognostications of doom-N-gloom. I can not get over the resonant chords strummed by your Mr. Joe with that of various "musicians" of the same ilk....I admit to extreme prejudice. My "mission" here is only to provoke thought....or a riot. Either one works well for my purposes. You sir are a thinking kind of guy, I tip my hat and applaud your considerable skill. Dementia is a harsh mistress. You find that she sleeps not only in your bed, but in the bed of anyone with a filled glass, or a stressed mind, or a broken heart. I wish I could muster something approaching "faith" in ANY of the thousands of "underdogs" out there who appear poised to challenge "The System". Bottom line in my book is about 99.99% of them are shit, they are priced accordingly, and polite homage is out of the question! Cheers!
