That scene in particular popped into my mind recently, and when reading about Drygulch Dan (Michael) it occurred to me that he could not be accused of living a wasted life.

And very true. Death is probably an escape.

Sometimes imho, self loathing inflicts itself on those who deserve it the least, and I wonder if the psychopaths among us walk proudly with head held high.
