Comes a lot closer than I thought

There were discussions, decades ago, about piping water from the Colombia River down to CA. OR and WA said "No way" and the proposal went nowhere..

CA can manage or mismanage its water resources as it sees fit. They're currently getting a huge percentage allocation of Colorado River water and that's not going to last much longer..
