The subpoenas appear to focus on whether the Internet providers agreed to favor Microsoft's Internet Explorer product over archrival Netscape Communications Corp's Netscape browser, the Journal said. The newspaper cities people familiar with the situation as its source. The move confirms that investigators are examining additional channels Microsoft uses to distribute its Internet Explorer software, the newspaper said.
