I specifically said "Republicans and Southern right wing racist Dixiecrats" voted against the 1964 civil rights act, because right wingers have been pulling that trick forever. The same Dixecrats that voted against the 1964 civil rights act changed to the Republican party for the specific reason that the liberal Democratic party is the people who put it forth and championed it. You cannot count conservative Dixiecrats who hated the legislation, as liberal Democrats who sponsored it. And MAGA should quit pulling that shit. They also like to claim Lincoln who was a Republican when the Republican party was the LIBERAL northeast free states, as opposed to the southern slave states! You know what frustrates me most, is that I explained why African Americans vote overwhelmingly for Democrats and you don't even bother to consider it.
