According to Real Clear Politics, Trump and Harris are essentially tied in the battleground States, but Harris has a 7 point lead in the Real Clear betting markets. I don't care if one is conservative, liberal Republican or Democrat, I find it hard to believe that most Americans would vote for this woman. Her policies are a recipe for disaster. The big problem that Trump has is that many Americans hate his guts and will not listen to what he has to say. I use to be one of those people. As an Israeli American, I received a wake up call over the past 6 months and began listening to Trump. I like most of his policies and will be voting for him in November.

I only want what's best for the board. So with that logic you removed all bans? How does that make sense???? Put me in as temporary, HB at least trusted me enough to give me the “keys”. As I said before, I have “politics for conservatives”, I’m not really interested in running this thread, but I’ll watch over it with HB’s best interest. What you’ve done is open it up as the next Advanced Microdevices thread. Jim

Destroying the board is not what is best. Removing the bans of the worst offenders on SI is truly disgusting. I could NOT think any less of you. More than half of this website already had zero trust in you, and you justified it with this bizarre and low IQ move. You are not fit for your job here at SI.

I agree wholeheartedly with SI Ron's eliminating the bans. Some of these bans are outdated. People change their political views all the time. So, they got banned in the past for not liking Trump, but today if they support Trump, the old ban makes no sense. Need I remind some of you that JD Vance despised Trump many years ago. So, when circumstances change and people's views change, adjustments need to be made. Trump was once a Democrat and if this thread was active back then and Trump was a member of SI, I'm sure the moderator may have banned him back then. Anyway, whoever the new moderator will be, there will ample opportunity to ban trolls and keep the thread in order. But to go into the moderators role and say unequivocally that I am going to restore all the old bans, that seems closed minded and not right.

Ron, I’m not sure why you removed all the bans. But if it was because they were old, no longer relevant or clutter up the ban list, I certainly understand. That said, remember about ten or fifteen years ago there was a SI site-wide purge of bans and ignores. I think you should do that again and give everyone a clean slate. There so many posters who have disappeared or died and left dozens of bans and ignores in their absence. Of course, active posters could always restore the bans and ignores if they wish. Just as they did to some degree years ago.
