Respond to of 454045 Actually, I like the Democrat running for Senator, Jacky. Rosen, a lot more than the Republican. Rosen is a moderate and although she has voted to impeach Trump in the past, she has distinguished herself on numerous other issues, in contrast to Biden/Harris. As for the House seat in Nevada in my district, the Republican running is an ex-Democrat who has been highly critical of Trump. The candidate Trump supported lost out in the Republican Primary. I don't particularly like either candidate and may not vote in that race. I am not a fan of tariffs so I do not like the Dems or Republicans on that issue. I voted for Hillary and Biden in n the two previous elections. What changed this time? I did not like the anti-Semitic demonstrations on college campuses and the Biden/Harris wavering of support for Israel. So, I am basically voting for Trump for his unwavering support for Israel and for deporting terrorists and tightening up border security. As Israeli American, I do not appreciate chants calling for the death of Jews, Israel and USA. I expect the Nevada Presidential race to be decided by less than one percent. Nevada has become a very liberal State in recent years due to the major influx of Californians in the State. The State Legislature is heavily Democratic, but there is a moderate Republican governor. Nevadans have their own concept of what conservativism and liberalism should be and it is very different than the National Consensus. Most conservatives in the State support socialized medicine and free public college tuition. In fact, Nevada passed free, public, community college tuition under a Republican Administration. Liberals here are big time gun advocates and do not like being told when they should wear a mask or take mandated Covid shots. The former governor, who was a liberal, initiated way to many social mandates during the pandemic and got voted out as a result . So, people move to the beat of their own drum here and there are a huge number of independents with a very strong social libertarian side. I switched my affiliation from Democrat to Independent about 5 months ago and will vote for the best person regardless of Party . I did vote for Sheriff Joe, the Republican governor two years ago while still a registered Democrat . So, people do cross over party lines here quite a bit. They do the same thing in Arizona.
