Skeptic, you are making a blanket statement that itself fails in the real world. It may seem like it makes sense but really such reasoning shows a naivity of the services business. Any Y2K contract TAVA gets adds to its long-term core. I am principal of a Computer Consulting practice in New York. If I land a new client that wants me to roll out an e-mail solution enterprise wide and then have their internal IS take it from their, I don't expect to do another e-mail roll-out for them the next year. But, now they are my client, I've slept with them once and they liked me. Now the client requires a Document Managemment System. Guess who gets first crack and gues who has the upper hand on the bid. Me, the guy who knows their contract process, knows their budget and approval process, knows who to take out to lunch and where to.

Hello Skeptic, you need to wake up to real world business. Y2K is just another contract. The beauty of this for TAVA is that they are adding to their client list and growing their prestige. Remember not only is a Y2K oppurtunity, it is also a sales oppurtunity to pitch the whole Systems Integration out-sourcing story. TAVA is the largest (maybe only)independent National Systems Integrator. They are in the best position to capitalize on the growing out-sourcing trend in the Manufacturing industry. Y2k cements their lead and puts them in the door faster.

Anyone who just looks at Y2K as a one time thing should stay out of sales.

Jack Z.
