I don't want to get into "buy, sell, or hold", but these two I do know a little about. Id stay away from Ciena for a bit and let it find its legs. It's not cheap, and besides the WorldCom stretch-out, there are margin issues. On the other hand, Uniphase is getting hit today because Ciena is a big customer for their lasers and modulation equipment, and I bought more Uniphase at the open. Uniphase has a broader customer list, and is a key player in the exploding photonic telecom segment. The one-decision stock in the group is, of course, Lucent. Tellabs is class, too.

I think ERTS is a terrific stock, and it just broke out of a long consolidation yesterday. They are the class act in the gaming market, and are a distribution juggernaut. The sub-$1,000 PC plays right into their hands, IMO. I think ERTS will only get stronger. Great stock.

Do your own research before you buy anything. I own Uniphase.
