So, has anybody considered the environmental effects of lithium depletion on the world's seawater? Is seawater-based lithium not vital to a balanced ocean ecosystem? Every action has a reaction. Oh, no worries -- it's just a tiny fraction of a limitless resource that's directly affected, with no downstream effects, right? Others said the same thing about coal and mineral mining, oil drilling, rainforest-clearing, dam-building, etc. Just askin'.
