No. I was in Ontario in 1964 - didn’t move to the west
coast until 1981.

The big one is coming and could happen as I type this and
will make Fukushima look like a test run. How do you
prepare for that?

Since moving to Haida Gwaii we have experienced two
tsunami warnings where we have had to evacuate. Both
happened at night and were totally ineffective. The route
to the “safe zone” runs through a section of road right at the
shore line about five minutes out of town. In other words,
no escaping a tsunami here. :(
