I can't tell you how many times I have heard the same story from Lebanese Christians living in Bayridge, Brooklyn. A number of years ago I was speaking with a family friend at a party and she was adamantly anti-Isreal. I was shocked TBH. She is Catholic and her family is from Lebanon. I don't think she was born there but her parents came from there. Her husband is from Lebanon, also Catholic, although I can only assume he takes a similar stance. To her Israel was more of an intrusion on the way of life in Lebanon than Iran/Hezbollah. I don't get it.
