Part of what you say is correct. Except, replacement HD 3.1g plus Part. your HD based on Bios limitations..So, if you have an older Bios and install One large HD your systems set's up as two or maybe three HD's. In other words, You have one large physical HD but your system says you have two..In most replacement applications, most people keep their old HD as Master or slave (two drives)...(a little S/M) Bd allows you to set the size of your active drive..I think BD would help all Older Pent. Sys. and 486's with one large replacement drive.. Chris or Bob correct me if I'm wrong..
