Doren, I purposely left out the subject of illegal immigration because I was talking to MAGA nationalists. I'm not in favor of demonizing illegal immigrants, by the way. I know most of them are honest, hard-working individuals. They don't fit the murderous, throat-slitting cartel members that MAGA likes to portray them as. We do have to get a handle on our immigration, though. If that means increasing the limits of legal immigration, focusing on pro-growth policies over nativist NIMBY, and using that to continue increasing the size of the American population, economy, and manufacturing base, so be it. (It also means taking away job-killing regulations like high minimum wages and anti-contractor policies that California's AB5 embodies that seek to protect the liberal elitists over economic growth.)
