If I remember correctly it was one of Musk's ex wife's that suggested he buy it. Other wise it was nothing short of way over valued bloat. It's not a wonder that Dorsey wouldn't let him out of the deal. For Twitter, musk was like mana from heaven. When musk got into it he had no choice but to gut it.
