>>TRADERS who make a 475(f) election change all APPLICABLE
transactions from CAPITAL to ORDINARY.

Big word, "APPLICABLE." Is that why it's in caps? <ggg>

Assuming trading status and that the election has been taken,
is there a discriminator so some capital transactions aren't
applicable?

BTW, I'm asking these questions purely out of curiosity;
I'd hate for anyone to take a lot of trouble to answer.
On the other hand, it may be a distant future possibility,
and I am curious (some say I'm downright odd, but I think
that's unkind).

Anyhow, I appreciate the answers I've gotten.

Regards

Colin & Joel: Thanks for the responses, very much appreciated.

I shall now cease seeking free advice, at least until I have another question.

Joel - I know you're not Colin. Sorry, I was too lazy to go back down the thread in order that my response was to his message. MHA
