I don't see that front getting involved as it has very little push behind it. Yea if Milton take a more northerly track it could get some sheer and dry air but I wouldn't count on that. Back in the 1960's the NHC sent their planes to seed the Hurricane clouds with dry ice. It did very little if anything. :)

Meteorologist Mike Masco noted, "There is the potential for some additional increase in intensity through the day. Latest short-range high resolution forecast models show a landfall in the #Tampa #StPete area by Wednesday night. This type of "direct hit" as well as intensity based on the going forecast has not been seen since the 1848, that hurricane was believe to be a category 4."

Time to pack up if you haven't already.
