>> You really believe that, without Musk's $44B purchase of Twitter, the First Amendment would have been repealed or rendered powerless.

The First Amendment? Yes, it continues to be in serious danger.

John Kerry publicly stated that the in regard to "disinformation", "the First Amendment is a 'major block' to the ability to just hammer it out of existence." Imagine that. If John Kerry classifies something Ten said as "disinformation", we could just hammer it out of existence.

Sort of like Stalin, RIGHT?

When Dave Chapellte made hilarious comedy on the "Alphabet People", he would hammer THAT out, too, wouldn't he?

Then, following his comment Hillary Clinton claimed social media companies "must moderate content" or 'we lose total control".

WTF does that mean?

I just think you may be taking the Bill of Rights un-seriously. You shouldn't do that. Once lost, there isn't a clear way forward to getting them back.

Musk allowed in great, first-rate journalists to investigate what happened, and yes, sunshine is the greatest disinfectant. As a result, people will go there as a source of truth. By "truth" I mean unadulterated by the opinion of a Zuckerberg, an FBI agent who is pushing a government political agenda, a statement from the Politburo whether true or false, or from an operative in Iran or China or anywhere else.

It cannot be killed. It will receive plenty of time to flourish in the truth. As important things should.

It is also important that many people were unaware that institutions in fact lied, and they had their eyes opened by it. You didn't. But you're in California and covered in the muck of the Left Coast.

One day perhaps you'll appreciate it or perhaps you won't. There is no demand that you accept the intervention on your behalf.

I've already made it abundantly clear. What do you not understand? Yes, Musk's acquisition of twitter, and his enunciation of his rationale, were crucial to fight against the Left taking control of free speech which obviously would kill it.

Free speech is the most important construct that has made the United States what it is today. And people like Kerry and Clinton are trying to kill it. People like you are nodding their heads approval, suggesting free speech is an over-rated attribute.

It isn't. Rather, it is foundational.

I think that Musk's willingness to stand up has trigger some movement in the anti-free speech craziness that has been building for a while. Which is related to absurd DEI nonsense. It took someone who was willing to stand up to it and say, "Yes, it is ridiculous to believe men (and boys) need tampons. Or that women should be using men's restrooms. Or that people shouldn't be able to loudly condemn that idiocy. Or any idiocy, in public.

Or that there are any limits, whatsoever, on the use of free speech in a way that might hurt someone's feelings. Or shouting fire! in a crowded theater. Or any of this nonsense.

It is not someone's right to take away someone else's free speech rights, and it is not someone's right to use restrooms for the wrong gender. Even if they want to. Boys are never girls. And vice versa. No matter how they want to be, or how much their idiot parents have told them they think they are.
