the existence of climate change is widely accepted, but the reasons behind it often spark debate. The primary driver of recent climate change is human activity, particularly the emission of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide 1 2. These gases trap heat in the atmosphere, leading to global warming.

Natural factors, such as volcanic eruptions and variations in solar radiation, also influence the climate, but they do not account for the significant warming observed over the past century 2 3. The overwhelming scientific consensus is that human activities, especially the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation, are the main contributors to the current trend of global warming 1 2.
