I'm actually looking for more people to admire/follow. If I were running a screen, here's what I'd be looking for:

High returns over a long period, honesty, not well-known, preferably outside NYC away from the noise, lack of social media posting, some form of letters to partners...

Does this thread follow any lesser-known names that achieve fantastic returns over time?

Warren Buffett used to ride coat-tails as a youngster and I'm wondering who I should copy/look to learn from. I've realised there's no shame in doing it, provided you see the same thing. Of course, there are people on this very thread that have achieved wonderful returns that I follow.

I'm fairly sure the next Buffett or Ben Graham is out there, away from all of the noise, running a small shop, buying relentlessly, growing through word of mouth. We just have no idea who he/she is and I'm determined to try and find that person before everyone catches on.

FWIW, Norbert Lou (Punch Card Capital) is someone else I follow. Buffett, too, of course. I enjoyed the Nick Sleep letters. But I don't follow many other people. Lack of trust, I guess.
