Judy, with the current bullish market you may be right. If the market turns around however, you might have cases like SPCT, VECO and even CS which following the first dive they took another one. VECO being, IMHO, an excellent company has now recovered the second of its dive, but SPCT is still lingering three month later, and CS is not doing to well either. ADCT and ANAD are excellent companies, but I do not follow CIEN close enough to form an opinion on its specifics.

Judy,

RE: CIEN

I don't follow it much, but I did short it at 55 a couple of months ago based purely on the tremendous insider selling. I know that's not always reliable, but CIEN was one of the insider selling leaders of the past six months, and I didn't really care why.

It's interesting that they ran it up quite a bit yesterday, only one day before the collapse, and enough to make me seriously consider covering my short. Could that have been the last gasps of a short squeeze? I have no idea.
