I don't understand what you are getting at?

Some things are avoidable, and some not so much.

Lead in paint is avoidable, and mercury in fish is avoidable.

So avoid bad things as much as you can, and do good things like adequate exercise.

Living a long healthy life is a matter of calculating many probabilities of nutrition and other variables, like avoiding bad habits like smoking and drinking alcohol, having good eating habits, and eating the right foods to keep inflammation low, getting adequate antioxidants and polyphenols, getting exercise and taking certain supplements.

So you eat fish low in mercury and buy organic chocolate if you can.

I drink organic coffee.

And what do you mean:" if only we could deregulate everything?

That is what the Republicans would do :).

Jamie: "Which is worse, mercury in fish or lead in chocolate?
We can't have lead in paint or gas but we can eat it.

We live in odd times.
If only we could deregulate everything and contaminate the entire food chain. /s
